Archer, O.D. - Board President
Archer graduated cum laude from The Ohio State University
College of Optometry in 1984 after first receiving her
bachelor's degree from DePauw University. She is one
of 5 doctors in Premier Vision Group, with locations
in Bowling Green, Lima, and Minster, Ohio. She is a
volunteer for the Realeyes classroom initiative, Vision
USA, InfantSee, iSee in-school eye exams, and participated
in a VOSH eye care mission in Ukraine. She is a past
president and board member of the Ohio Optometric Association
and currently serves on the board of directors for the
Ohio Optometric Foundation and Optometry Cares, the
American Optometric Foundation. Locally, Dr. Archer
served on the board of directors for the Wapakoneta
Area Community Foundation and was a member of the Rotary
Club. She and her husband John, also an optometrist,
love to travel and spend time with their family, Jeff,
Moira, David, Audrey and grandsons Kelan and Evan.

Lamar Zigler, OD, MS, FAAO - Board Secretary
Zigler is a graduate of The Ohio State University, where
he completed his OD and MS degrees simultaneously in
1981. He chaired the Contact Lens Committee of the Ohio
Optometric Association from 1987 to 1990, which featured
the annual Contact Lens Education Meeting in Columbus
every January. He developed the EastWest Eye Conference
in 1994 and chaired the meeting unti11996. He then chaired
the Education committee of EastWest from 2003 to 2005.
He currently serves as chair of the contact lens track
and round table discussions for the EastWest CE committee.
was a member of the AOA CE committee from 2008 to 2010.
He chaired the AOA Contact Lens and Cornea Section in
2011-2012. He is a fellow of The American Academy of
Optometry. He has been a faculty member of The Ohio
State University College of Optometry since 1981, teaching
in the clinics as well as becoming a preceptor for the
primary care extern program since its inception.
has two private practices in Columbus Ohio with his
nephew, Travis (2010) and his nephew's wife, Jenna (2011),
both OSU graduates. His youngest son, David graduated
from OSU and join his practice in May 2014. He has been
Principle Investigator of 136 FDA clinical trials and
has served on advisory boards and speakers bureaus for
many manufacturers. He lectures nationally on contact
lenses, sports vision, primary care, refractive surgery,
and practice management.

E. Nye, O.D.
Thomas Nye is a 1987 graduate of The Ohio State University
College of Optometry. Since starting in practice, Dr.
Nye's professional activities have been many. He is
a member of the American Optometric Association, past
Executive Board Member of the Ohio Optometric Association,
and past Zone Governor of the Cincinnati Optometric
Association. Dr. Nye previously has served as a member
of the Board of Directors of the AOA Political Action
Nye, a resident of Hamilton, is active in a number of
local civic organizations. He has served on the Board
of Directors of the Red Cross, Greater Hamilton Safety
Council, Hamilton Futures Forum, Dayton Lane Historic
Association, Colonial Senior Services, Chamber of Commerce,
and the Criminal Justice Board. He is a past president
of the Hamilton Rotary Club, serves as Trustee of the
Fraternal Order of Police Associates, and has been Chairman
of the TvHamilton Advisory Board. Doctor Nye is also
a former Mayor of Hamilton. He and his wife, Jennifer,
have been blessed with three very active children.

Thomas Bobst, O. D.
Bobst graduated from the Illinois College of Optometry
in 1982. He practiced in North Olmsted for five years
before opening his private practice, Vision Source.
Vision Source is a primary care practice, but Dr. Bobst's
interests include contact lenses, glaucoma, and dry
eye. He has been a consultant and performed research
for several contact lens and pharmaceutical companies.
Dr. Bobst is actively involved in the American Optometric
Association, the Ohio Optometric Association, and the
Cleveland Optometric Association. He served as the 2009
president of the Ohio Optometric Association and won
the OOA Key Optometrist of the Year award in 2010.
